Behind the Candelabra, reportedly the final film from director Steven Soderbergh, traces the five-year relationship between Liberace (Michael Douglas) and his boyfriend, Scott Thorson (Matt Damon), in the late 70s and early 80s. Dan Aykroyd co-stars as Liberace's agent, Rob Lowe as his doctor and Debbie Reynolds plays his mother. The film premieres at the Cannes film festival on 21 May, on HBO in the US on 26 May and in cinemas in the UK on 7 June.
